GreenDex has a simple three-step ideology rooted in open-source science, data, and community, meaning we want this project to not only be used by consumers but to be something people can contribute to and call their own.
We decide what metrics are the most important, verify the source we pull from is rooted in trustworthy academic practices, and then add the metric to our grading algorithm.
Metrics are individually graded from 1-100, assigned a weight based on their category, then averaged down again based on their parent E, S, or G.
The world is a changing place, and so should our process. We want to listen to what the community says and what experts in the field are reporting, and then execute on the data provided.
We've chosen this approach to give our grades and reporting value and trust. We aren't telling you what's right and wrong; the community is sharing their facts and findings, and we are all growing because of it.
